Occam's razor is the principle that simplest explanation is usually the correct one [Occam's razor].
I was thinking on software design and coding and I have reached the conclusion that the same principle can be applied in this completely different field adapted like simplest solution is usually the better one also referred usually in software like the KISS principle.
By simplest we can take the Occam's definition, being the solution with fewest assumptions and postulates the fewest entities while still sufficiently answering the question.
This principle can also be taken as one of the pillars of Agile software development where one important point is not taking unnecessary assumptions on focusing on giving an answer to a problem with the simplest possible solution.
